Welcome to Heron Creek Golf Club

Nestled in the heart of Mohawk Valley, just outside the historic village of Clinton, is Heron Creek Golf Club. Voted Utica Observer Dispatch’s Best of the Best for area golf courses in 2019 and 2020!!!!!

Carefully maintained by owners Scott and Carrie Cook, Heron Creek is a public 9 hole golf course. It provides the amenities of a professional course in a casual, friendly setting that the entire family will enjoy.

In addition to the course, Heron Creek also features a clubhouse, which offers a great selection of daily specials, appetizers, and ice cold beverages. The clubhouse is a great place to grab a bite to eat before heading out to the course, or a place to enjoy a drink and conversation after a round of golf.

The menu includes everything from delicious sandwich platters, freshly grilled items, to satisfying pasta dishes. And, if you don’t see what you want, we are happy to work with you to create just the perfect menu.

Merry Christmas!! Scott and I wanted to share with you an update we received on our Feed the Vets fund many of you generously contributed to this year. We collected an amazing $5200, more than doubling last year AND our biggest donation yet. Our mission each year is to ensure the assistance provided by your donations is used to help individuals, it is not given to a group or charity. This year we assisted four vets, three of them were post-911 vets and one was a WWII vet. Scott and I can’t thank Billy Yount enough who works with Sitrins Military Rehab and the local Feed the Vets program to identify the best way we can help these men and women each year. One gentleman, living with his father was in need of heat as their oil tank was almost out. Our contribution paid directly to the oil company for a delivery to get them through the next couple months. Our second recipient is a vet attempting to get his contracting business off the ground, raise a family while constantly struggling with PTSD. Billy met him at a job site where he was working with his elderly father and 15 year old son. We assisted him with a one month rent payment, one month truck payment and 4 months of owed National Grid payments. Our next recipient is a disabled WWII vet who hasn’t left his house in 6 months. His wife visits the pantry once a month to seek assistance for them both. Billy met with them at their home and we were able assist them with one month rent, two months of NYSEG bills, and two months of fuel bills. And last, but not least, a vet who is in a "very fragile place" right now suffering with severe PTSD issues. We purchased for him a nice pair of winter boots, some slippers and a gas card. Billy was able to meet with him and his staff Sergent at Sitrin. This gentleman was asked to vacate his apartment since he was behind in his rent and threatened to be taken court. We paid the landlord directly, 2 months back rent to eliminate this additional stress. He is currently living in his staff Sergent's basement until his can get on his feet. The staff Sergent has his own set of issues, dealing with a severe health condition as a result of chemicals he encountered in Afghanistan. As we all sit down with our families for wonderful feasts and memories please take a minute to know, collectively, how significant your donations were for these 4 families. In Billy’s words “I was alarmed to find out that there are literally hundreds of vets in our area alone that are in some need of assistance. This is really a great thing we do, and I appreciate you all allowing me to manage the Creek's funds and run with it. Makes my whole holiday actually, and it should add to your satisfaction knowing that you've made a difference.”Thank you for representing the Creek in such a significant and meaningful way. ... Many of you met our buddy Brady who became a big part of our Creeker family this year. He helped us in many ways including cleaning our carts after league play on Mon and Tues nights this season. (and from personal experience you could get an “accidental” spray with the hose followed by a sneaky little smile). With his permission we wanted to share that he is currently at Faxton St Lukes hospital. Please help us send positive thoughts and well wishes on a strong recovery. ... See MoreSee Less

Nothing from January 19, 2022 to February 18, 2022.

Great course always with improvements each and every year. The owners and regulars are wonderful people as well. I went there 3 years ago looking to join a league after I moved to the area, not knowing anyone. I was welcomed by everyone there and come back every year. The bar and kitchen are excellent as well. I haven't had food that wasn't good there and prices are very reasonable!
